Security Improvements
- FraudClient API requests are now completed securely from the WHMCS server.
- API authentication uses the Authorization header.
- Your FraudClient API key is never exposed in templates or sent to the administrator’s browser.
- Added stronger request validation and CSRF protection.
- Report submissions require a final review and confirmation.
- Destructive report and removal-request actions require explicit confirmation.
Installing or Upgrading
- Upload the addon to
/modules/addons/fraudclient/in your WHMCS installation. - Open Configuration → System Settings → Addon Modules.
- Activate FraudClient, or save the existing addon settings again after upgrading.
- Confirm your HTTPS API URL, FraudClient API key, cache duration, and administrator-role permissions.
Important: Existing users should save the addon settings again after uploading v1.4.2. This allows WHMCS to detect the new hook file and display FraudClient shortcuts on client-summary pages.
